Aussie natives Stocking.

Hey Cammo X and whoever else knows more about this than I do.
Excuse my ignorance, I'm still pretty new at this.

Looking at these pics of your jardini,'toga', they look similar to the 'Aro' whatever they are that I saw in one of the articles about the Canadian guy who set up a community tank. Are these closely related? I think the Aro were native to Philipines so it would make some sense.

Your jardini is native to Aust?

I'm in the process of setting up a new native tank. Its just been filled. Got a bass and golden perch in a diff tank till its ready

keep your barras on pellets and you will be fine , and dont overfeed barramundi EVER they will just poweron until they cant move in the tank cause they r so big from overfeeding, always try to grow them slowly uneless you have a pond or some kind of dam to put them, otherwise you will only get probs 1/2 years out of this fish.

Great advice Cammo X, thanks.
I've got a couple of two foot barra that are my pride and joy, I must say they won't let me pat them or anything like my Americans, but they are still personable.......If we get our hands too close to the water during feeding we end up with a Barra hanging off our arm......the missus is still seeking counselling from her last effort. :)
I just returned from QLD and must say I envy you guys. Saw some great fish, (8 inch Dovii $18- and I am sure backyard ponds would be a year round option for Americans let alone Aussie tropicals.
Thanks for the inspiration

cheers
