Yes its strange we export lungfish bred by approved breeder, chipped, with cites certification . But they wont allow asian arowanas bred by cites approved breeder chipped and with certification to be imported. Then theres mariensis, critically endangered, totaly protected in its natural range but there is a possession limit of one over 50cm for F1 impoundment fish, you can eat one if you want to.

Been raining a bit this weekend, thought I'd check a local swamp. Mostly flooded with about 4inches of water through the forest. Lots of small barra and tarpons in the channels and snakehead gudgeons chasing worms and bugs on the flooded forest floor. Saw about 40 gudgeons, often in packs of 5 or more. No pics of the barra or tarpons, too fast and I'm too wary of swamp geckoes to venture near the deeper spots.

This morning I had the blinds open next to the Jardini tank and a noisy minah bird was trying to catch some bug that was on the window. The jar was going crazy up against the glass trying to get it I dont think the bird could see in the window. wish I got some pics.
