try koi sticks in bulk i got 2 kilos for $15. they are nice and big too.

EDIt: can get them cheaper straight from the pet produce factory but i don't particularly want 100 kilos of koi food it takes me long enough to go through 2kg.

my footlong koi eat only about 3 each.

EDIT AGAIN: i just realised your in queensland where koi are illegal you probably wont find koi food in your state then

Dudzy, get some barra pellets. My guess is the koi pellets would be lower in protein than that cod would prefer. My LFS stocks them so there should be one in Brisvegas that does.

you can get koi sticks with extra protein for fast growth and fattening up for winter but they are relatively expensive. today i found a couple of roaches ate some holes in my koi food bag. i caught one of them and threw it straight into the pond, and one of the bass ate it up quick:headbang2there is probably more roaches in the bag but the bag is too big to go searching through, the sticks are light and 2 kilos is alot.
 
does anybody here have golden eel tail cats? could i put it in my pond which has 2 bass, one tandanus tandanus cat, a small sooty grunter, a convict cichlid, 5 koi and 4 goldfish? the surface area is 5' by 4' the depth is variable between 1-2'. if i can't put it in there would it be alright in a 3 foot tank with some pakistani loaches, a pleco and a festivum? i just saw one for sale at my lfs for $20 i thought this was a good deal since they are apparently rare and my regular tandanus at the same size cost $30

At the moment I have 3 in my pond along with silver perch, salmon tail cats 4 other types of eels-tails and a few others.

And yes they are pretty rare, there have been a few batches going around so I would get some while you can.
