Ok, I have a question.
What's the best thing to feed the cod?
I have pellets, but I reckon they are too small for him and he goes through heaps of them and he didn't like the whiting fillets...
any suggestions?

Cheap prawns from the supermarket are pretty good. Wild Cod take them as bait so I would think that yours might too.
anything live, insects, feeder fish, yabbies etc
if they eat dead than thats better. alot of murray cods only eat live. i had a very small fingerling once that refused to eat everything including live. it ended up dying

Ok, I tried un-cooked prawns and he only ate one...

That's a good thing, Feeders get to expensive compared to pellet food. And less chance of getting disease/ parasites from live fish.....

Yeah I know its a good thing, but I don't know where I can get big enough pellets for this guy
At the moment he eats like a whole box of the ones I use. lol
Are there any trout farms or native fish hatcheries in your area? You can source pellets of a reasonable size from those people for relatively cheap. Failing that, ask one of the more 'specialist' aquarium stores if they can source them for you. They shouldn't be too hard to get.
