Average lifespan of a flowerhorn?

The another problem with most flowerhorn keepers is complicating things, using minerals, expensive specific foods which are low quality high protein, putting fish in smaller tank etc. Just feeding hikari would be better than feeding those specialized foods. Minerals in water do nothing significantly, those that flowerhorn sellers sell doesn't even mix properly.

I use to breed Kamfas in the early 2000s and out of a batch of 300-500 eggs only 2 fish were exactly what they were suppose to look like. Real FH breeders will usually cull 250 fry out of 300.
Now a days all those fry that should have been culled are now being sold hence why most dont live more then 2-3 years a properly raised FH without all the FH training will usually get you 3-5 years.
I believe Rays will be next to start coming out messed up with deformities and short life spans with all the designer rays coming out.
