Swear she’s grown over night. Such an peaceful fish to watch, swims around just like a shark!
Not a good few days. Managed a white spot out break, got that under control, then had a ph spike and ammonia spike. Not quite sure what caused it. But we have some red whiskers and a slim coat this morning. So I’ve removed most the water and change it also salted for tonight, Will perform another water change in the morning before work. Hopfully I have no losses. Fish doesn't look in bad way, but was uncomfortable.
I’ve also managed to source a Surinam piriba, that will be arriving this month about 7”-8”.

Been a hectic few days, I cocked up my end, filter crash and I wasn’t around, lost the roussixii, piriba has pulled through. Just a case of growing whiskers back.
There's so many reports about the Peru death seen on fb, for someone who never care for a piraiba, they're seem hardy but actually ain't. Very sensitive than capa. Hope yours get better.
Nah his fish is filamentosum. Spots smaller than or comparable to the eye which are more dense posteriorly define fila, spots 2x or larger the size of the eye and evenly distributed define capa. The mouths on the two are quite different as well.
