yeah i was trying to figure out how to work around that one...like i said im still in the planning stage. 5000 neons huh? i was kind of hoping for a south american theme with an arowana, clown knife and a ray. maybe a few fast breeding cichlids like convicts to suppliment the food supply. shrugs just dreaming.

yup, SA is the theme. I'm all over the convicts. I actually wondered if there was a snowball's chance in you know where of a convict fry surviving. TFG, has anything survived from fryhood to adulthood on it's own in your tank?

BTW. I'll update this thread with pics tonight. :headbang2

As long as you have sufficient cover in this tank like you are planning from your drawings then you will have a really good chance of cons surviving to adulthood. It would be nice to throw them in first and leave em maybe a month to get well established and if you are planning on plants it would help those get established too. Can't wait to see the pics.

Nope, not a single one out of about 10-15 spawns. To many predators in my tank that are very crafty.... I've had viejas and midas spawn in the tank too without a single survivor....
