hey I have tried using a ziplock for the cake icing idea before they dont work out very well IMO you can get an Icing kit at the store for like $5 I would just go with that

this is something that i myself have been wanting to make when i get my own place. i had originally thought to make it a dual level tank...meaning that the tank would be on the bottom floor but the surface would be ground level.. with a railing around it to prevent anything from falling in. for filtration i had wanted to run a R/O system to keep water levels topped off with a pool sand filter that would pump the water up into the wall to come out of a ceramic tile setting in the wall making a waterfall that pours into the "tank". this is a concept design but i think it would work out well ... i would also like a retractable sky light above this to provide some natural light.
