just read these last few threads. HA LOL. I'm still going. Just haven't had much time to post any updates lately. I took pictures of the sanitred failures before I went crazy on prepping the inside for new concrete. The sanitred had failed completely on the glass. It actually chipped and pealed off the glass. This was after 3-4 attempts by following their instructions exactly. I used their primer etc. and after a few months, it completely failed. Thank GOD I never followed through with sanitred, and thank god I didn't have the thing filled with water and all my beloved fish. As mad as I was, I would be 10x more upset if it had failed 3 months after filling.

I'm glad I'm going a different route with the sealer. I have no confidence in sanitred.

Eventually, I'm going to create a new thread with a condensed version of this project to show the process without all the nonsense posts.
Right on man...so hows the fall/winter run fly fishing going?;)

So pond armor doesnt work on plywood tanks?
anything will work on anything else. its just that pond armor is a hard product and needs to be applied to a hard surface so that when it sets and hardens it will not crack. for you make a stiff 2X4 frame for your plywood tank then no it wont move and crack but there is never a garantee... the sanitred is a better bet since it rubber paint (latex) and it will fles with the wood. but the best for plywood is fiberglass and resin, with epoxy paint. it will outlast your house, and no one can dispute that...

Ive sat here and read around 90% of the last hmmm 50pages maybe - 2hrs or so. Would just like to say i can sympathise on how manipulative and descending corporate businesses can be. For them not to sell you any more product is absolutely insane as this - as far as im aware - could have potentially solved your problems? (said with great hesitation!) I have to say i was expecting to see a glorious tank at the end of it and as so am slightly disappointed - but i would like to congratulate you on your commitment to the task at hand and pursuing your love of the fish world. I wish you all the best for the future plans and eagerly await its stocking.

btw - a biotope type amazon with the vast amounts of different smaller species would be fantastic IMO.

All the best, Bigmiksears

Ok, several pages and nothing about the pond!

I will be cleaning up this thread from the bottom up (so many of you will be recieving auto-bot messages about deleted posts) and will appreciate no further derailing of said same.

Not only is the old adage 'If you can't say something nice. don't say anything' apply here but add "If you can't say something pertaining (aquatically) about the thread, don't say anything"

This is a 'One time warning' infractions will follow. I.am only tolerant of my fish and small children of which you people are neither.

Wow. I must have missed the action. I'm sorry to say that I have no updates. I've been wrapped up in other projects lately, and haven't had the funds to finish the big tank. I'll finish it eventually. I probably wont update this thread since it's full of so much garbage. I plan on making a condensed thread here once it's running.
