MAN i feel the pain.
forget that.
Things have to get worse to get better just keep at it like at the biggining of the project, saniwhat ever the hell they are pulling that looks like what i yous at work on roofs and you get the primer too this will come out in tiny bubbles no matter what temputer it is and if it wet or dry when applyed its a scam. keep to time tested aquarium product know how.
There is only one person making important dissisions on this tank so you must diside what is best for the future success of your tank.
As for the step buy step posts "BRAVO" you know how to document important moment in your aquariumhood, You have inspierd me both on the fish front and at knowing you can have a monster tank in your home it's just up to you and how many risks you r willing to under go to get what you want.
PEACE

You know when you have that much invested in time., money and love, to have the hurdles he's had?...
I'd be out fishing too.
That or I'd be bull-dozing the whole thing;)
It'd take me a large amount of time fishing to get over the disappointment as well, let hope he finds the motivation to get started again and then we can give him some support

just read these last few threads. HA LOL. I'm still going. Just haven't had much time to post any updates lately. I took pictures of the sanitred failures before I went crazy on prepping the inside for new concrete. The sanitred had failed completely on the glass. It actually chipped and pealed off the glass. This was after 3-4 attempts by following their instructions exactly. I used their primer etc. and after a few months, it completely failed. Thank GOD I never followed through with sanitred, and thank god I didn't have the thing filled with water and all my beloved fish. As mad as I was, I would be 10x more upset if it had failed 3 months after filling.

I'm glad I'm going a different route with the sealer. I have no confidence in sanitred.

Eventually, I'm going to create a new thread with a condensed version of this project to show the process without all the nonsense posts.

Wow my eyes are bloodshot since I have been reading this thread for so long. I had forgotten about this tank. I am really disappointed to hear about all the sani-tred problems. I know not to use this on any monster tank building that I plan on in the near future.

I really don't feel sorry for the company at all. They spent more time trying to argue with him than they did help him. Reminds me of the Orbitz deal with Maddox on www.thebestpageintheuniverse.com

Im almost too tired to post.

the last time i remember this project was when the glass failed and that whole thing with the primer. so i just read from page 40 to 89... its a slow day at work anyway.

well im glad your going with pond armor. there should be a hard rule that pond armor is for block tanks and concreet. things that are porouse and do not flex at all... and saitred is for flexable applications like wood. and dryloc is for like backerboard. which is what i think im gonna use for my 300...

in for more pics and sorry to say but i think i agree with the Dr. this could have been handled better and i for one like that they sent a guy to defend them but the manner that he did could have been much better and he sounded like a broken record. if it where me at sanitred i would have sent you a free pint and a free gallon. at work here we do it. a huy *****es and to keep kis buisness we take a loss... then he comes back. one pisses off customer tells the world and a satisfied one tells maybe one person. so you try to keep everyone satisfied because that one customer will not ***** again.

well within reason. i love the concept and did since you started and here we are a year later and close, oh so close...

How much was the end cost? approx.

Was filtering through the 20+ pages, and am cross eyed.

Concerns?

Thanks
