If you look at the first post, the tank doesn't look square, but rectangular, and the last picture, the frame looks square...Maybe he's put down the frame and he's going to cut a door into the backside?
Yeah it does look like there will be room behind it, but I wasn't sure with the floor frame layout what was going on. It'll also be tough to crawl between 10" centered joists, so you may want a crawl tunnel to get underneath, or like Caoboy suggests, a maintenance door from the rear would be ideal

If I'm not mistaken the wall on the right has a room behind it. I imagine acess will be granted by a small fairy that gaurds the timeshift portal in that room.

From what I know of Rich there is going to be very little we can advise him to improve on....

Lol.. yes there is a room behind the wall and there will be an access panel of some sort, and oddly enough it will be guarded by my attack cat. lol

Going to be fresh water, stock is way up in the air, but for now I know all my giant tinfoil barbs, Tig cat, Sun cat, and the flag tails and bala sharks will be the first in.

And my wife doesn't mind holes as long as I patch them up when im done being crazy.. lol:nilly:

I'm not understanding the whole concept of the cement not holding up. This to me seems as rediculous as people thinking they can't put a 300 gallon upstairs....

Someone school me here..... How thick is the cement layed in basements?
If you need evidence of you being correct in this regard and want some proof is in the pudding pictures let me know. Been there did that.;)

How olds the house? Concrete keeps getting harder the older it gets. My house is almost 80 years old and the concrete floor in the basement is damn near as hard as a diamond, just ask the water proffers than put the french drain in they told me the floor made the guy with the jackhammer really earn his money that week. You'd have to really put some major weight down on a small area in order to crack a concrete floor.

I think what everyone here is not understanding is that every area has a different way of doing things per "code" so to say that yours is ok doesn't mean that someone elses is.

Should you want to know for sure if you would be ok then the best thing to do is to Drill a test hole ( in an area which will not be stressed) to find the depth of the Pad which was laid.. Look into the local bylaws for the min grade of concrete which is needed for basement floors... you can then find out what the PSI rating is for that grade and calculate your PSI and voila there you have it :D
