I could not find his Leo's giving birth but I found another of his rays. The first baby comes out kind of slow but the second looks like he is shot out of a cannon LOL

You get these fish in captivity, right?

Because the Tucunarés caught in Nature are almost impossible to eat pellets...

Or you had so much lucky!!!

Neoprodigy trained him to eat pellets for me but he stopped eating them soon after I got him. He however always ate the pieces of fish or shrimp I gave him.

About the P. ornatipinnis, is the most beautiful of the genus Polypterus, but is larger and more aggressive, which would be a problem at the time of forming the couple, as one could eat the other. That's why I chose the P. senegalus, since it is more quiet and small.

I might get some again

The Lungfish are fabulous!!!

Especially the Australian. They are primitive fish that gave rise to the first animals to leave the water and walk the earth, (Class Sarcopterygii), as Celacantho (Latimeria chalumnae). The fins of them function as a primitive foot.

Yes I really like my lungfish also.

To answer your questions... No, I really don't plan on keeping anything cichlid wise that grows so large. The largest species I have are 2 bocourti (16", but 11" now) 3 managuense (16-18 inches but 10" now) and a few from the vieja/paratheraps family.

I have rescued a couple of cichla species but moved them quickly as they are a "wanted". Dovi and Umbee I'm a little afraid of LOL Some day though, as they're both beautiful fish and their aggressive nature puts them in a class of their own!

Here's a few videos of the tank.

This is one of Bert after he was introduced to the 1500:

<object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/gJN3661BQjs&hl=en&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/gJN3661BQjs&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>

Thanks for the videos

I have a Tilipia that has gotten over 20"tl and that is the 5th cichlid I was looking for....Ypu did well getting the other 4.

what page is the last update of the tank? i can't find it =[

I will be doing some upgrades in a couple of months when some friends help me do a few changes in the 52k and the lighting. Pictures will be coming as soon as it is completed.

How the heck do you feed all of them? lol
AWESOME tank

Welcome to MFK

it's pretty easy to feed them thru panel on hinges around the tank.

If you keep large fish please show us some of your pictures.

I just made a small video of my 15,000 gallon tank and you will see them being feed pellets and flakes in a few clips.

I have health issues and only have the use of one hand until July so I had time to put together a small video of the 15k today. I hope the sound works OK.
