Welcome to MFK

It's 1" glass

I really don't know how many fish I have. Neoprodigy is my buddy so I will get him to count them.

If you are from PETA none! They are just holograms.

absolutely amazing. thanks so much for sharing more of your story. A couple questions if you don't mind. What species have you been able to spawn in that quasi-natural environment? What happens to the water from your water changes? Do you use it for irrigation? Always dreamed of a similar set-up to try and breed aros someday. Again, thanks for sharing.

ROFL.

First of all, you have a spectacular tank.

Second, do you at least know all the different kinds of fish you have in your tank?

I am not a very good breeder (I only have 2 kids). But some of the fish I never expected to be able to spawn in the 52k are:

Hypostomus plecostomus I actually saw a couple of babies and they got up to about 9" the last time I saw them. The Phractocephalus hemioliopterus
might have eaten them.

Common guppies maintain groups in the driftwood.

The filamentosis barb (barbus filimentosis) has managed to breed and maintain a dozen parents/juveniles.

The african cichlids of course breed but even some of the central american manage to maintain populations.

I use the water at garden hose speed to water the lawns and trees or at high speed to fill one of my dug out wild ponds. They been made bigger with a larger rim to handle a quick 10 to 15,000 gallon discharge. I don't have to do this often. I prefer the garden hose irrigation method.

Thanks and now I know you are not from PETA I will not press the Hitman button on the User Control Panel. Because that's one tough DUDE in the car. He went out to Chicago and took care of Rick Perez (The Peacock Bass King) and Rick has never been heard from again..............MFK knows how to control pests (It's rumoured his own local fish club requested the hit but the ACA also asked for credit).

You only get the Hitman button on the User Control Panel when you have at least 800 posts.
