In relation to the vid: I seriously dont care if i i offend anyone, Why does it take a westerner to point out these things to the native people whether its arapaima in SA, various fish in Asia and cichlids in Africa????? Are we the only voice of reason on this planet???

Arapaimag, I was wondering how I might be able to come in contact with you. You see, in my town Grimsby (close to you I assume) we have a Lake Ontario fish breeding program in a building on the lake, this building just got a grant and wanted to install a monster fishtank (multiple 10k+ Gal I am lead to believe) to house native Lake Ontario species for viewing. The owner contacted me via reference of a family friend, I am in no way familiar with tanks this large and would really like some help and guidance for both me (zach) and the future tank owner (rick).

Please email me at zacharymelo (at) gmail (dot) com

Because you are local(ish) your help would be best.

I don't really do anything special. I record the water temp on a regular basis and increase the heat when required with the tanks Rinnai tankless hot water heater. It never gets too warm in the summer so I never have a problem with exessive heat.

I keep my fish at lower temps than most people do, and it might be why they generally grow slower but often live longer.
