I sent it Neoprodigy earlier today he will insert when he gets home from work.

2 days ago it took him 7 hours to travel 10 miles due to gridlock caused by buses unable to navigate hills stopping all traffic from moving. Hope he has better luck getting home tonight.

Wow, very cool!

This is all in the 50k tank? I had no idea there were any african cichlids in there.

To keep track of your stock do you use a program or just Excel?
Yes I have always had africans in the tank. They reproduce in large numbers and can live long lives while also providing a food source and excercise for the larger predators.

I monitor the fish when watching the tank and adjust the stock levels using a Lotus spread sheet. I do use excel also but lotus has superior sort functions and I use it more when dealing with basketball statistics.

I want to thank my friend neoprodigy for getting the spreadsheet up on the site as I was unable to.

Amphilophus urophthalmus

Temperament normal central american.

Ok to about 2"

very nasty after that in small tanks e.g. 180gallons and under.

In my big tanks they are model citizens and very peaceful.

I have a female in this tank and another female in the 15,000. Both are on the small side about 6-7". I bought the from The Tropical Fish Room (Jerry Draper) in 2007 for a deal at only $2.00 each.

Notopterus chitala - clown knife

I have 2 in the tank.

They are both around 28" long.

One I got in 1998 from Strictly Fish in Georgetown (Dave, Mike & Bernie). The other from Aquarium Service London Ontario (Steve- no longer there).

They are interesting in the big tank now that they know only the Wallago leerii will try to eat them. Most of the time they are in hunting mode to cut down on the african cichlids.

Here are a few pics of them in the 15,000 they were moved in Feb 2010 to the big tank.
