Thanks NotoriousSway

Its great to have fellow MFK hobbyists help me name/identify a fish.

Thank you and you sure dream big too.

What are the dimensions of the 6,500 gallon pond?

I'm sure your baby monsters like the redtail cat, channel cat an others will all love you and your goals when they are in it.

Please post a few pics of the pond/pool on this thread as you build it....thanks

Horiyoshi thanks for the kind words and other you posted earlier. There is only one king on this forum and that is my friend Neoprodigy who built this incredibly active site.

Are you of Japanese origin?

I have the Japanese Paralympic wheelchair basketball men's team coming at the end of July 2011 for a basketball tournament I organize. I've also hosted them in 2007 and had the women's national team in 2004.

I see you enjoy spiny eels (Mastacembelidae). I love fire eels and unfortunately just lost a 26" tire track that I owned for 10 years.
No, I am not of Japanese Origin. I just have certain connections to said place.Again though, I am aghast at how you do so much. You organize a tourney for guys in chairs as well?! I'd be short of a genius if I figured out how you do it all, and have done it all...I bet you forgot more than most could strive to learn.

And as for the Mastacembelidae, I love them.Horse face's on the bigger species, and as owner responsive as they come. That sure was a kingly noodle you lost there.A decade?Had a great life.

Thank you so much for your individualized response.

Bless you.

A few more of Rusty's pictures.

The first 2 pics

Are of a Clown trigger(Balistoides conspicillum) with no colour. It had been stung by an anemone. Lost its colour and did not eat for about 2 weeks. It is still recovering. It lives in a 120g with a yellow tail blue damsel (Chrysiptera hemicyanea).

The 3rd/4th are my Australian lung fish (Neoceratodus forsteri) in a 360g.

If you like biggies. Here is a video of Ryan and SimonL from Aquatic Kingdom catching a 40" fire eel from a hobbyist named George's house. The language when they encounter the eel is not the best.

More Rusty Wessel pictures:

The first 2:

My true black nasty. The Doctor of Death. Morulius chrysophekadion. This fish has killed a lot of nice fish. Including three red tail catfish between 36" and 52", 1 Arapaima arapaima 5"6" and 126lbs, my beloved 22" dovi. He is in a 225g and makes it look like a 50 gallon. In the summers he lurks in outdoor ponds about 18 to 20 foot long and 8 feet wide. Bought for $1.75 at less than 2" from Marine Resources in 1992.

3rd pic.

Sold as a pink peacock from Pets Plus in Lockport Ny for $19.95 in 2007 at 2". A really nice fish about 6" long so a really good size. He gets roughed up by a Hemibagrus nemurus gold that shares a 120 with him.

4th pic.

I keep a few koi. Bring them in in winters and outside in summers in a pond 28x18x5.

5th pic.

I keep a few pet goldfish. Everyone I have bred except that Japanese Wakin (Red & White). These are brought in also in winters and put out in a 20x8 pond in summers. I still have the big pond outside with my goldfish and yellow fat head minnows where I leave the fish all year round 100x55-60x5-20.
