What's the point of having all those small fish in your tank? To fill up the empty space?
thats most likely where alot of the fish are pairing up and spawning new fish and im sure it would be a pain to removed them from a tank like that i have a hard time getting lil fish out of a 150 gallon lol

Last month my wife and I went to look at a lovely little house on 5 achres on a hill above town- lovely old house, hardwood floors, great views ...blah blah blah....

All I saw was the 60 year old 35,000Gal cut-stone rain catchment water tank, and wondered if I could punch a few windows in the side...

Sounds like a plan

Put a few windows in

Cover with a greenhouse

Add Arapaima....................

You are right

The cichlids and barbs where placed there to breed and provide a natural food source for the bigger fish. Everyone enjoys the small fish as well as the big fish. None of the small fish are unwanted.
