Building My 50,000 Gallon Monster Mega Tank

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
This is by far the greatest thing I've ever seen. Props to thee, aptly named fish God. I've never seen anything else that even compares to this in any private collection, this tank even puts small public aquariums I've seen to shame.

Cool pics! Is that a P. santinwongsei in the 2nd last pic? Do you have more pics of him? :D

Yes I had 3 Panagasius sanitswongi
in the tank. The one you saw is 24" long but he looks small because he is over 20 feet away from the front of the tank. I gave them to another hobbyist who has an indoor pond.

Couldn't find any pics tonight but I will look around for some. Here are a couple more pics of the Pimas.

There are some swimming in the background of the mini videos in this article.

Your tank is the greatest thing on the face of the planet!!! You are the standard when it comes to fish keeping! Talk about setting the bar to an unreachable height!!!

i just want to say that i admire your dedication - both of your HUGE tanks look great, and all the fish are amongst the healthiest i have ever seen. It appears that the tank is finally clear! That is always good :)

I've had the tank clear for a long time. Of course it still does get cloudy after a large feeding.

I found out is to turn off the airpumps a half an hour before taking pictures because of the incredible fractionizing of the air bubbles which also make the water appear to be cloudy.

Friends helped me put in a new bank of 600lb sand filters, a series of bag filters and 4 ionizers in the fall of 2006.

I also installed a tankless water heater to free up floor space.
