I know where he's coming from, this is South East Asia. In the last 60 years there have been 17 coups in Thailand alone.

I'd be worried about my fish as well, if the locals want to shoot each other because of a political divide let them.
Can you imagin Mcain's camp shooting at Obama supporters just because they lost the election?

Not to take the thread the wrong way, but all i care about is my own, if the tanks come out again and they've got different colours on them I'm straight the the British Embassy with my family, passports in hand.
My brother in law will come pick up my fish and take it to the countyside where he lives and look after it. sounds cynical I know, but this is Thailand and if you've never lived here you can't understand it. riots, coups, run of the mill.
I feel sorry for the stranded tourists though but they've been put up in a five star hotel until they can fly out again so i guess not so many will be worried.

since monday?! NO WONDER ... a relative of mine in korea placed an order on a crossback through a friend i know in thailand, bangkok and he said hed ship this past monday but told me today the same thing u did. I hope thailand mellows out!

It is weird. Our BKK office is business as usual - all looks normal on the streets of BKK if you are not the area of unrest. I am sure the effect will start to be felt soon. The general romour was for an army coup last night at 11pm. Ity seemed like common knowledge.
I think the Army have given the gov a deadline, sort it, or we will.
