Well, got some time to do an update since my trip this weekend from back home. <sigh> as expected no fish on 2nd of DEC due to closure of Suvanaphumi Airport over the weekend as well as MON and TUE.
The scoop, the airport should be releasing flights tonight (i believe the first flight will be to Rome) but is not expected to be up and running for another week or so (optimistically).
My kind dealer agreed to postpone shipments until the situations stablizes completely. BTW, there is still a chance that mess is not over if after reconvening of Thai government on 8th DEC (next monday), the re-shuffled cabinet may still be rejected by the protesters ... so i am holding my breath.
Meanwhile, my canopy is delayed (or i could not be bothered nor had any heart to push the guy for it)... nevertheless, got some pix of my tough marbles who have growns quite substantially in the month that they were cycling the tank for the future residents. Checkout them long whiskers (Longibardis indeed) and fat bellies. Did not test the water, but should be OK since the green aro guinea pig is swiming and eating normally <sigh> ... the angle of swim does not go away - i am reconciled that i have a funny swimmer. None of the fish are gasping or anything.
This year i installed heaters in all my indoor set-ups in time so none of the indoor guys are affected ... the outdoor set-up is faring less well without a heater. The water temp is at around 20-22C ... a bit low for RTC and Paimas (OK for gar though) ... the air temp goes down to 16-17 during the night, but goes back up during the day substantially - more on outdoor set-up later (nobody died yet ... but then same same last year)
PS: the walking cat has grown from 0.5" to 4" in a month !!! the other walking kitties have all jumped ship from marbles chasing them i think
