Yeah, that's what she said! Thanks.

Thought i'd stop being lazy and have a proper look at the leak. Cut the old silicone off the outside and could feel a gap between the the glass and the frame and no white silicone's visible on the outside side of the glass. Put a load of the black pond sealant over the space. Now leaving it to set, and yes it is good for setting underwater and i damp environments. Will probably rub some more over the top just before i start topping it (It's non-toxic to fish)

It does beg the question how the hell did i end up with a gap when there was a thick bead of silicone applied all the way around the inside of the frame before i squidged the glass in on top of it? All i can think is alcohol made me miss a bit.

:ROFL:yeah. But it's easier to get any sense or conversation out of me when i'm on here by messaging on here rather than trying to get me to answer a text (MFK's ruined my social life!:ROFL::ROFL:)

Thanks, still loads to do on it, getting water in feel's like a big step forward. Hopefully soon it'll be full, i'll fix a top edge around it then clad the outside to make it look neat. Then it's lid time......which i still have no idea what to do with other than i want it strong enough to support more tanks and have it at a nice convienent bar height!:headbang2 I can see more DIY projects around the house getting in the way unfortunately so might be a long while yet.
Right on man I feel ya , best of luck.

Really impressed with this.Just a normal question now though.I have noticed you have normal bricks in the tank for hiding places. Is this safe for the fish?Have you sealed them with something?

Would just like to know

Thanks:)

Fish seem fine with them. I Have tried bricks in a 4ft tank before with no ill effects to water quallity or fish so used them here too for now as had a good free supply.
