I feel like coming down and fixing this leak for u, this has to be every ones worst nightmare when doing a huge diy build like this. If u cant fix the leak then i would leave that wall to the pro's matey
Well if you're going to come down again then at least wait until there's more beer in the fridge. Working on it sober is like doing house work............sober:ROFL:

Update: Getting annoyed.

Tried removing all the old sealant down the leaky side and put some new stuff over to replace it. Looks solid. Still bloody leaks in exactly the same place!!!!!! leak seems more like a drip than a flow though so that's a step forward.

Rather than keep trying to stop it leaking on that side though i've gone for sealing between the outside of the glass and the liner. Squidged a load of the black liner sealant in the gap between the glass and the liner, folded an off-cut of liner in half and pushed the fold crease in against the sealant. Took a thin metal ruler, slid that between the 2 halves of the fold and slowly started pushing the liner a bit at a time up against the metal frame where the leak is so hopefully that's pushed the sealant up agains't the hole. The off-cut of liner is about 9" long so patching quite a large area on the outside!

If this doesn't work then i'm gonna find a bell tower and a sniper rifle...........

You patched it on the outside ???

But You don't have 1 leak . You have 2 leaks .

You have 2 liners between your ply and your water .

Hope you get it sorted

Well the patch on the outside seems to have done it first time......touch wood! First pic shows the big black mess on both sides from what it looks like from inside the pond.

Over 2 feet of water in there now, only another 7-8 inches of viewing window left to fill it over but filling stopped due to the filters not being high enough yet, really need to get on with the lid for that.

At least it's moving forward a bit now:)

Forgot to add in the last few posts, there's been a loss. Found one of the big silver sharks dead on the bottom about a week ago. Completely stripped of scales, looks like he was eaten then thrown back up due to his size:( Remaining shark will be taken out when i have a suitable tank setup. Also looks like one of the channel cats has taken a bit of a beating too which sucks:(

Steal away, good to see i've inspired you!

Glad you like it, i'll just be happy and un stressed when this is finished and all the tanks are set up again and i don't have to worry about bloody fish anymore!

Yep, sorted:D

Just one liner mate, the tarp isn't water proof. It's a very big external patch for just a pin hole leak so shouldn't be an issue (famous last words)
