The rtcXtsn hybrid is one of my absolute favorite fish of all time. XD i remember the first time i saw o0ne i was confused as hell...lol i looked at the rtc and then at the tsn and then the hybrid. after continuing this confused dance of back and forth i finally asked the owner what it was i even sugg the possibility of a hybrid he insisted that it was a rtc. obviosly i didnt buy one cuz id be posting my would be proud pics all over this site =pppp. Needless to say.. CONGRATZ man that is a work of art. man did something good with nature for once =P

Looks like Fat Albert would fit nicly in BigBoyz Mouth LOL
He tried, but fat albert's head is too wide. I measured today and fat albert has a 6" wide head, and the big boy has a 8" wide head. Kind of why I seperated them. My plan now is to finish the big tank, put the smaller catfish in there over the next winter and next summer add the big boy. Gonna powerfeed the hell out of them all and hope for the best. I could do the reverse, but that huge tank for one fish doesn't seem right lol.

How do you move those giants?!?!?!?!
Simply net them out with a koi sock net that is 50", and 11" dia hoop. It holds water and is supposed to be less stressfull, but it's kind of a pain to move a 30+ lb fish, and 3 gals of water at the same time while the fish is thrashing about. I have used a large pillow case in the past. He's really tame so I can just scoop him up no problem fun happens after he's out of the water. lol

Thanks I just hope I can grow him even larger in the tank I am building. Want to have him around for many years to come.

Great fish and nice setup. I did the same sort of thing when I had my big RTC that got about that size. Probably fight in not enough filtration. That is a big issue and big challenge with the big cats. Sounds like you are doing the right things. Disappointed to hear the TSN X RTC is 38" . I had hoped they stayed smallers. Will be interesting to see what mine does over time.

Thanks for sharing,
Jack

The big boy is probably closing in on his max size and even if it gets bigger chances are the growth rate isn't going to be nearly as ludicrous as all your other monster cats.

I wouldn't be surprised if you could move the big boy in before winter is over.
