Infusoria and live bbs once large enough. The issue is that the eggs are released from pouch prematurely. Second time this has happened.

It seemed like this time the pouch was ok until 5 fry embryo disappeared.

BTW the pair of pipefish are the only occupants in a 40 breeder.

Can these ever be weaned onto fine prepared foods like Golden Pearls or decapsulated brine shrimp eggs?

Or would it be possible to house them with a ton of cherry shrimp and let them pick off the shrimplets as needed?

I actually fed them a tiny amount but they were interested Only interested in the live bbs.

I thought Convict Cichlids were bad Little buddy loaded with eggs again.

Update
Recently added Java Fern, ghost shrimp, and a Nerite snail. Snail doing great job on algae.

Got lucky today at a lfs fish and plants were 20% off purchased 2 Java Ferns.
