Are you looking for under water plants, terrestrial, floating , or top cover plants (pothos) ?

Are you looking for style and decor and are you looking to reduce nitrates ?

Most submerged plants require decent lighting and fertz, while pothos only need nitrates and they will thrive. Top water consume good amounts of nitrates but also take up the top making the light in the tank more difficult to get right.

This thread is about cheap plants and less n03 !

Fake aquascaping. :D I had more plants until 'Mr. Clean' shredded them and I had loose fabric floating all over my tank.

Very good thread. I'm curious to see what my nitrates will test in a few days.

You can always find your own dw and rocks, mixed with Pfs will be great! Depending on your n03 levels it will take a little time for them to adapt to full water.

Like you said give it a few days and test!

Thx!

Lhs even Walmart sell golden pothos or devils ivy! The roots on your ivy will eventually grow down to the bottom of the tank, takes awhile but looks cool, you can always trim them how you want. Top roots are great for fry! Pics when done!
