Cheap plants, less nitrate! POTHOS

Im using egg crates as my lid. Do I need gravel? If I put the gravel in it will cause my egg crates to flex and bend.

According to earlier posts, you do not need gravel. You just need to cut the first inch to 2 inches of roots before putting in the water so it helps growth.

Pothos do best with filtered lighting or in shade if outside

thanks, Yup i have some thriving with shade. but the ones i added to my pond are not really doing well.

I use driftwood stacked against the back wall to create a shelf for the plants while also creating the impression of a riverbank with tree roots going into the water.

Thank you. The fish leave the plants alone. I think they know it helps their water.

If the tips of my pothos are are turning brown. They are in direct sunlight. Am I water changing too much or is the sun hurting them? Pothos is like my side project.
