Cheap plants, less nitrate! POTHOS

If the tips of my pothos are are turning brown. They are in direct sunlight. Am I water changing too much or is the sun hurting them? Pothos is like my side project.
More likely than not, its the direct sunlight. Nearly certain its not from too much water change.

Disclaimer: I'm no plant expert

I would be inclined to agree, it was a bit satirical although I've been doing heft water changes. Also @mrrobxc pothos seems to be getting a good bit of light so I wasn't sure it was sunlight either.

Biggest pothos I've ever seen. Leaves bigger than my hands. The vine was bigger around than my fingers.

How clean should the roots be?? Its hard to remove all the dirt :-/ Any tricks??
I use a garden hose and then take my time just blast away. Any tiny bits of dirt that does end up in the aquarium afterwards is not a big deal and be siphoned during water changes eventually

Thanks. I have now 24 pothos in a 325 litres aquarium for testing before the get in my 530 litres aquarium. Think i bought to many :-/

24 individual plants?
Yeah, a bit much lol

Yup. I didn't about it when i bought the pots. Oh well they were cheap and now i can use them in all my aquariums

I want to get this going in my Oscar tank to further help get nitrates down. But I have three dogs and a cat. I'm worried about them eating the plant when it grows long. Are there any other plants to do this with that wouldn't harm them if they decided to chew on it?
