Converting Cichla off Live Food

yup ... it gives the food a bit of a softer texture.... it works for me every time. its a pain but after a few days they will eat it dry... only thing is, dont soak it to long because you dont want the food to loose any nutients... more of a 5 secong dip and let it sit. warm water may work better for krill ;)

Finally got them to take krill and shrimp in the same weekend! :clap

Now I am on to pellets. Wish me luck! Man and it wasn't easy but all I can say is stick with it.

mine took dried shrimp after 2 months of no feeding...he's very thin:popcorn:

well i never had the feeder prob =D cause all my pbass were fed bloodworms and forzen foods. along with all my other predatory fish (ATF.. Armatus..) thank goodness. lawl

Just wanted to say I used the same method and had wild caught adults on frozen smelt and shrimp within a week.

I have had much success using this technique but still the only type of pellets they will eat and keep down is the hikari meat sticks (these cost way too much!):grinno:
