Cost Effective Water Conditioners

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I'm surprised that this information wasn't a hot topic. Very good read and people should really look into this.

I looked up the chloramine levels for my city and found that they increased it from 1.7 mg/l to 2.5 mg/l. Guess I should be using more prime than I usually dump in.

great read and interesting/helpful info RD.
i'm currently using prime because i was very happy with how long it tended to last used on a 90g tank compared to most other products.

now that i have added a 60g and a 300g to my household, maybe it would be more cost effective to get safe. i will see how long a bottle of prime lasts with rigorous water changes and decide then.

thanks again :)

Thanks for the thread. I'm going to find out how much of what is used where I live. I used to always over dose with whatever water conditioner (prime or stress coat)
Maybe I can save some money :)

I'm sold.
