Seriously-

How can you say I'm not being responsible in my decisions.....You dont know the situation I am in....
I'm not unhappy with the home he is in-The home he is in needs work....No one else can house a fish like this in my area...

I have invested the thousands of dollars to house a pacu "properly"-I have set aside the thousands of dollars it has taken to raise this guy to the size he is....I give the best treatment possible to my fish----

To make the statement is just plain ridiculous...

I would love to rehome the fish.....But it simply wont happen...Even if it did-No one is going to give a pacu the care it needs..No one has a tank big enough to house this guy up here......

People just need to understand the care I have given to my fish-Last thing I want to due is to kill a pet I have rasied for over 4 years now.....

But what has to be done has to be done.....
 
have you tried the zoo
or shipping to a keeper in another country
or those fish rescue programs

sounds kind of like a "if i can't have it, no one will"

The one zoo in my area-Does not deal in fish-
The only public aquarium we have near me only deals in Alaskan natives...

Who in their right mind is going to pay the shipping on a 2 foot pacu....

No fish resue program up here has a bigger tank than me.....So that option is a no go as well...

I have went through this acouple years back-If there was a way to get this guy a new home-It would be done.....Being in the state that I am is the problem....
