Majority of the plecos are still in the pond. I managed to catch three this morning that were near the top and they are so slow I can just grab them with my hands. lol There are still 5 out there but the problem is most of the plants around the pond have died, especially the potato vines. Since they died, alot of the dead stuff got in the pond and cloudied it up pretty good so I cant see the bottom much less find black plecos on a black liner. I see them moving every now and then so Im pretty sure they are all still alive though. The pond is big enough I think that it hasnt gotten quite as cold yet as the air has. Im gonna keep checking and maybe Ill get lucky to find some more that have gotten in the shallows that I can catch.

When my pond collapsed there was so much junk in it, it was hard to see. Ending up missing one and it was found dead the next day :irked:

wow man that sucks. When we moved I disassembled my old little pond at our old house. I had the water down to about two inches and used a net to get everything out. i thought I got everything but two weeks later when i went back to pull the liner and fill in the hole, I dumped the water and my 16 inch pleco began flopping on the ground. Those plecos are resilient as anything I have seen before.

Btw caught another one, only 3 more to go. lol
