DIY Algae scrubber

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Idk bro. U think thats a good idea long term. What about trace elements and ph swings wouldnt that create a potential ph. Crash not doubting you, seriously asking
pH swings won't happen unless there's a big change, such as oxygen level, evaporation, etc...

I could do a mini version by running my skimmer wet and using a tunze auto top up into 25 litre tubs on both sides lol

One down 3 to go. It's hard to wait out silicone as is cures.
10 watt chip, I think I might be able to over power them some, if fully submerged. The little 3 watt, is rated for 2.2 volts, it's still going and probably pushing at least 5 watts.

Im gonna let you guys do all the hard work when it comes to the skimmers ans just copy and paste lol

I wanna see how denitrate filter goes if i ever get the time to complete it. Everyrhing is ready to go just need to test the different pumps and see which actually works. Have it set up in the bathroom tub gonna use 5 gal buckets

How many sheets of foam did you order? I just got 2 and it was enough for one 5 gal bucket.

I plan to not use a pump, as all of the pumps that size are cheap and will likely crap out on me. I plan to use a 1/2" bulkhead and cut back the flow to 40gph.

Gonna tee it off your return line ?

I should have just made my life easier and gotten a 200 to 300ish gph pump and use a ball valve to reduce flow...wasnt thinking
