Seams to take about 4 to 6 weeks for delivery. I have gotten items as fast as 5 days.

The left is 630? The right is 660nm.

So I will test them for a week and just see. Maybe they will work, perhaps they are 80% 660nm and 20% 600nm and the light mixing throws it off.

Kind of like 0ne 430nm blue turns a 660nm red into a dark purple.
I am sure my new friends in China will like free product testing

Forgot to mention havent noticed anything with the purigen filled submersible filter. koltsixx koltsixx nitrates still hit red. 40ppm
Thanks for the update Jaws, reminds me about this great thread and then I get to catch up on the great info being posted. I really appreciate it. I'm surprised the Purigen didn't do a better job. I've used it myself in the past in my Canister and HOB's and it always did a good job until exhaustion. After that it would actually get so full of crud it would severely restrict or all together stop the flow out of even my more powerful canisters.

I am also done with removing nitrate from my 30 gallon test tank. I think I had a nutrient shortage with used water, and was lacking phosphate, and potassium. So effective immediately I am adding the waste from my filter floss cleanings. And threw in a 10-10-10 fertilizer stick, set the heater at 72F.

I also added a 5 gallon , activated sludge aeration tank with , 10 watts of the new led. Routifer culture.

As for nitrate burning I have moved into the real world tanks, with 2 very different 75 gallon aquariums, each with over 130 gallons of water volume.

The bottom tank is at 13ppm.
Top tank has the 50 led

How long do you wait for the silicone to cure

What i sont get is its getting darker meaning absorbing waste. Always worked in the past for me too

Bottom scrubber, dark edges are from low flow

.20170409_083350.jpg
The edges cleaned and water pipe modified to allow edge flow.

The scrubber grows much faster than the green walls, but I am sure the tank algae pulled a lot of nutrients.

J jaws7777 Depending on how well our nitrate filter works, we could start selling them. Nitrate Reduction Bros. Inc.

Didn't someone have a patent for an specific design for algae scrubber that has since expired? Either way let the mass production begin.

I was referring to the nitrate filter, not the algae scrubber. The nitrate filter will be more power efficient and better at reducing nitrate.

Either. Turbo Floyd or Santa monica. But it's easy to modify the patented syestem. I don't think the algae growing screen is patentable. As its occurs on river rocks.
