FREE poly tank, ya I got two that were scraped out at work.
So my sump project, fits, side by side, a filter floss tray, and a containment for a nitrogen gas generator. Aka contained carbon doser, and I will be able to trial run it on my current setup , as soon as I get it plumbed in. 24" ×24" x8".

The red chamber is aerated,
The other is a settling basin, and overflow.

Basic it is a very tiny waste water treatment plant. I am hoping that by feeding it with denitrator, effluent. The bacteria will get eaten, and join up in the flocks, of the activated sludge. Then settle in the clarifier.

@markstrimarsn Can you describe exactly how it's setup and what's happening from beginning to end? You have a denitrator running. What's the flowrate btw? The output (mechanically filtered?) is fed into the red tower which has cyclops (copepods) which eat the bacteria. It looks like an algae scrubber because of the red light but there's no nitrate or ammonia from the output for algae to grow. The water then settles in the second tower.

It is experimental, it is not fully operional, just yet. I still need to install the two anaerobic canisters.

I still need to get these into taller containers, so every thing wi'll gravity flow,.

My plan is to flow about 10 Gpd, through a carbon doped media, then into the denitrator. The denitrator will have 0 ppm nitrate, a low pH and lots of extra bacteria.

The red chamber, is aerated which keeps a thick activated sludge soup suspended. It is full of multi cellular microorganisms, routifers, daphnia, worms, hydra, cilliapods, tube flex worms. All fluidized, the flow thru the clarifier is not determined just yet, as flocking agents, might be used.
All of this is in a big white plastic tank, the final run off will be micron filter and possibly UV.
