cute aro!! reminds me of mine when i got him.. he's now 12" in a 3 foot tank!! so you inspired me to buiild a pond. I have 2 locations in mind:
-Indoors - 3rd floor bathroom rarely used but have to get rid of toilet bowl. This is more ideal because there's a place to place my filter box on and well there're taps in there easy for w/c. This one is better too because well since bathrooms are small, I only need to build one side of the pond because the other 4 sides will be the bathroom walls. I'm afraid of the weight of the water though pushing down...
-Outdoors - Larger area but I'm afraid of algae and i need to water proof and UV proof.

About the bathroom idea, how can i reinforce one side of the pond? Is the support like your pond sufficient?

Walls like mine would support an even larger pond I am sure, it's a pretty solid structure.

I'd do it outside, I think where you live is nice enough year round that it's not out of the question. If it does get a little cold you could heat it for that month or so if need be.

Thanks. :)

I sold that Rubbermaid a while back, the fitting at the bottom leaked out one night and I didn't feel like fixing it after that.

I keep forgetting to take pics of the Niger Cat. I'll try to get one this weekend.

Great diy job, fish look happy , you should be proud of yourself for this work, didn't take that long either and the waterfall idea was cool too.

Sorry but this was taken down long ago (see the post above yours for the final shots), so I can't comment on any of that. It wasn't up long enough to tell. I will say it was more humid in there but not overwhelming.
