I will have to admit. After joining and observing the builds from MFk community, especially a couple local NW guys such as yourself and clockworkorange's 125 gallon build post. It has inspired me to step up, and F'en do it and get something that I had every intentions but not inspired to get a large freaking tank. So, to start i picked up this 155 gallon HEAVY *** bowfront oceanic system tonight from a faraway place and made 2 ridiculous stops in my mini van and dropped off glass tank at dads place. Which happens to be in the same faraway place , and lighter wood canopy and stand at my townhouse. Which will require me to pick up this 3oo plus pound glass bow tank tomorrow. Darn mini van!!!

No complaining by any means, and actually consider it an accomplishment. In other words, I'd do it again. Excited to get started. Keep us posted Justin. Your post always gives me some great brainstorming ideas.

I think I saw that tank on craigslist? Congrats. Hope the pick up goes smoothly.

Now please don't put any colored gravel or fake plants in it. ;)

If you need help/advice, feel free to shoot me a PM, and I'm sure Justin wouldn't mind one either.

Hey now!!! Some of us make fake plants look good!

And Sam that is a real nice tank! Drop me a line and I'm happy to help. Your like 5 mins from my doorstep! Have a peek at DBN's website and see if there is anything you like. I will be driving down there in the next few weeks when my new BG comes in. Maybe can save you some shipping if your interested.

Thanks man! I spend so much time out there I like to have a little music to listen to while I work. Listening to to blues in the garage with a brew snf s bunch of cichlids is where it's at ;) I have not seen the new stock og BG's either but I have to redo the 300 gallon no matter what so I'm ordering one.

You sure know how to enjoy:thumbsup:
My next tank will incorporate 2 backgrounds and some rock modules so i'll have to see what will be offered by DBN. Tell Matt to hook me up too when you see him :naughty:

Yes, it was on CL. I pursued a 300 gallon there too, but the guy didn't respond. I presume he sold it, or not to judge, some peeps just like the attention. You know who your are.... LOL! That size would of been a garage set up. But anyways, glad I got something that will fit into my small living room somewhat; kinda like your catfish avatar. Won't start constructing until I start on my wood flooring project within the month. Of course, the project will start in the area where the tank will be to get some motivation mojo to hurry the hell up!

Will need to make the drive to Beaverton. Hopefully today and drive it back to the Couve.

Thanks man! I'll look into the DBN site today. If it is not too much to ask. What are the "published" price ranges for one that is 72x24? You can PM my your VIP customer rates of course.. hehe

For sure man! U really want to? If your back is up to it, then I'm down. I can pick you up or can drive here. I'm on mill plain by the old air field kinda near 164th. Besides you save me the trouble of picking up my buddy in ptld and wait for his girly ass to get to ready to leave the door. You know those types.....

Also, there is the guy that I bought the tank from. Who has 400+ lbs. of used white sand that was for SW set up. Would this be good for higher ph cichlid set up even if it is crushed coral? I don't think it is as he stated it was sand. Who knows, it might even be pool sand. Still waiting for the guy to respond and shall know shortly.

I'll give you a call at 6. We can go get drive thru on me..... Big spenda!

The bonus is that you also get to roll in this "Mommy Missle" and see a heavy ass tank squeeze in like a pair of skinny jeans.

Correction - Since facts are always important. The lead was actually from pnwa. Although, the dude did post on CL a while back.
