What are water boatman? tadpoles could possible effect them?

Okay looked them up and I have those in the smaller pond which means they are probably in the bigger pond. Looks like I have some work to do this weekend.

Don't touch them with your bare hands, Rob. They are nasty and can bite. This is why they are very damaging to large fish and ambush smaller ones.

Thanks, any idea how to treat the anacharis to get them out of there?

Ideas for prevention?

You could use potassium permanganate to dip the plants there but there is also a risk of them melting from the solution. As for preventing completely, no, there isn't. You'd have to monitor your pond for those creatures and dispose them as quickly as they are spotted.

My 2 red caps, bought to cycle a new 75, got to like them over that month, so they have a 40 breeder to themselves. very lively fish, and good fun to watch:popcorn:
Nice! I like the background. It's so serene.:D

First... My Goldfish are predators. They are hunting the baby mollies and guppies. I moved the Guppies to another stock tank because my wife wants the guppies.

Here are some group shots I just took tonight. The last shot is the visitors that come every night and party loud... Also the fountain inthe last picture I am sure I can make into a Biofilter in the bigger stock tank.
