nice and :( on the bowl of sh's

I just got it lol (sorry i am a bit slow) "sh's" = "snakeheads"? Sorry, the ordinary variety is fairly common here and it is used as food (no different from tilapia). Of course, i do not use fancy snakeheads as feeders, they are cost quite pricey overhere (but not in fashion in any case due to resemblance to 'common' snakeheads).

OK, i have nothing better to do, so i am posting pics of my fishes ^^

Can't wait till my paima goes more red (a lot of scales over the body actually started to change color and so did the previously-uncolored fins). the other two paimas indoor should be able to join the big one in couple of months (i gotta be sure it won't end up RTC food like last time) - just grow-out for cooler weather (i hope winter is slightly later this year)

This time i waited until gigas got huger lol, last time it was RTC that was the culprit not gar. Still i suppose, even now, they can kill gigas and not eat it (just for the heck of it). So far so good though. Gigas is starting to assert its right to live in the community

More pictures of the inhabitants next week (when i go back home for this weekend). Focus on the newly adopted gar and the coming of age (coloration development) of the paima as well as update on the plant filtration success (or failure) ... and any surviving feeders lol hmmm will be adding more submersibles

Will be trying to move the remaining three red-bellied pacus into the set-up. I hope the last batch does not end up as fish food (or punching bags for RTCs and gars) like last two :irked:

Stay tuned

Do you get much aggression between the RTC's? I have heard that they can be terratorial.

So far no aggression. I have gotten these two at the same time. They have killed other tank mates before (usually new arrivals). They used to sit on ARTC (or did ARTC used hide under them) until it died. Now co-habit peacefully with oscar, gars and a paima (soon paimas) ^^
