thanks for the encouragement. I actually ran into a bit of a setback last night that I'm still kicking myself for. I got in a hurry, and I sprayed on about a liter of gelcoat with no MEKp hardener added to it. Soooo, I have to buy more gelcoat to replace that, and I need to get myself a big ass box of rags and a couple gallons of acetone to clean off the uncured gelcoat.
The good news is it looks badass with the coating done.
I actually also still need to install a center brace, so I woulda needed more gelcoat anyway... scraping/scrubbing/wiping it off is going to SUCK though.
Well, I got out there with some acetone and some rags tonight. Not nearly as bad as I expected. I still need to reapply a fairly large area of gelcoat, but I got the worst of it off.
Pft, why would I take pictures of backward progress Plastic shop tonight or tomorrow to get more gelcoat and a bit of matting to glass in the center brace. After that this thing might sit for a little while. Got a customer who just gave me a deposit for an acrylic tank they want built.
