That's a great idea using a rubber to seal the inside of the tank. I wonder how it will hold up. If it works I might have to see if rhino lining will work....and possibly do a build myself.:D

Rhino Lining will work from what a rep told me.its alot more expensive than this stuff unless you can get ahold of it without going through a distributor who wants to apply it. some of the knockoffs I wouldn't trust though as I experienced personally there product does'nt bond and it bubbles really bad and isn't a rubberized product but hardens and can crack rather then flex. a couple years back the Rhinolining guys had a box lined and had fish in it as a demonstration at a car show I was at

Joey....I have one little... very wet observation... if your drilling through the floor of the tank and putting your intake so low...you will be fine with the FX5 but when you upgrade to the wet/dry... your screwed in a power outtage since the water level in the tank will drain all the way to the bottom with the current plan. You will either need to raise that intake to the topwater or drill through the side up high on the tank so that your run off doesn't over flow your 75.

Almost there Joey, good work, your excitement must be palpable. How much cure time are you allowing before the big fill? I'm seeing what basslover saw with the short standpipe strainer but I'm sure you have a plan....

when i make the switch to the wet/dry, i will slide the FX5 strainer off and then slide a durso style standpipe on.

yes, this is fish safe. It cures in 24 hrs. longer for thicker coats. see here for more info on it: http://www.monsterfishkeepers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=235493&highlight=waterproofing+rubber
