Since i jumped the gun and installed the top brace, getting the glass in was a tough job.

I was able to get the glass threw the front viewing window, and i leaned it up against the back wall.
I then siliconed the entire front inside front frame and then set the glass in temporary postition. Then i leaned the tank forward and layed it front on its face and slide the glass around a bit into its final postition. I used 40lbs of weights on each of the corners to. after the glass was in. i went around the entire perimeter of the glass with more silicone and smoothed it out.

Souns easy, but it wasnt. If i didnt install the top brace, it would have been a breeze. Even while i was installing the top brace, i knew i should have waited, but im impatient and NEED to see progress. leason learned.

so even knowing the people who make the rubber coat say NOT to use silicone you still took the chance??

why didnt you just set the glass in place and paint a few more coats of rubber coat to make the seal? since it bonds to glass and its self you would not have to risk the chance that silicone would not work..

Where does it say that?

Very handy if true.
