Got a bunch done today. Got the pump in, and the plumbing come along. Actually have the pump cycling the sump with the airwand and the heater running.

One question on hte mag 9.5 though.

Is it normal from them to make a rattling noise??

I dont hear it in the house, but it sounds like when you have a HOB, and it is dry, or it is not seated. You know how they make a rattling type sound until you get it primed or seat the propeller. Only way i know to describe it. It looks like it is pumping good.

I will post up some pics in the am.

Aww , why in the am? One sneak peak, please! lol, hope i goes well. As for the mag, i think you should check for any air bubbles in it, doesn't sound right to me, is it submerged or in line?

You have air trapped inside the body...turn the pump on and off a few times to get rid of the air pocket...it should be dead silent (relatively speaking)
might have to shake it about while it is running...more like a faint clacking?

Its either as posted above, or the impeller might be worn. Is it used?

Side note.....how is the water level when you turn off the pump? Looks a bit high for all that plumbing you have.

It is used.

Yes the level is high right now. I have the overflow turned off. If i get the drain run today i will lower it. I think my foam is a but dense. Probably the carbon pad. The pump chamber is 2" lower then the media side.

spent the day working. Got the cabinet all drilled, hopefully it is straight enough that the pipes wont bind up. I drilled the floor, the cabinet top, and the cabinet bottom. Also notched the shelves.

Redid the electronics. installed the remote retransmitter, and my new smart power strip.

Tommorow should bring some serious plumbing. Will just about finish it up until the tank get here any day now.
