tried glass cutting again. Works easy. Little oil, little pressure and little speed worked for me. About like if i was marking wood with a pencil, also bend it with pliers, doidn tap it, and good clean breaks on 1/2" glass

First two pics are my sump, up and running. Sort of, I am useing my established HOB, added old filters, ornaments, plants, and water from established tank. Also have a small heater and airwand in there.

Hanging under the house , water line running down the middle. actually came out level.

Had to push the main house in water line off to the side.

That is my dog house, huge dog house. Wife hated the idea, but dogs love it, stayed cool this summer, should be warm this winter as well.

looking the opposite direction of the dog house, into the garage

Loving the attention to detail. That is some fine DIY work. That sump looks beastly!

I will call this the Filter, because this is what will filter my water. Do you think I have enough filtration?

Had to order pegboard from ebay. Measure it so it fill set on top of sump tank, where lid lip is. Cut the corners out. Used torch to heat and bend, zip tied in place while i siliconed seams .

Heated and bent edges up to form a box approx 6" deep

Photo0101.jpg

Photo0102.jpg

added a piece of eggcrate light diffuser to aide in water flow out of the holes

Photo0104.jpg

cut one end to serve as overflow

Photo0105.jpg

Right now i have 5 layers. 1 batting and 2 felt, 20x28 enough to cover the bottom and sides to make a bowl. Then i have 2 layers of batting to set in the bowl on the bottom 10x18"

Last two, i wrapped the pegboard with duct tape, and siliconed all the holes from inside
