Fish landed-I-7/Dennis-6

We decided to try out "Assunpink" for the first time this year. I banged two right off the back but both were able to get off. Dennis went on to beat the brakes off of me. When the sun went down he was up 5-2 but I landed one right by the boat ramp, so we went up and down the grass line for about two hours I banged 4 more and Dennis got one. It was TOTALLY amazing how it felt feeling that strike in the dark:headbang2

One thing about fishing KEEP CASTING !!!!

Come this Monday I'll be in the great State of Florida searching for exotic fish once again to capture by hook or net. This time around I hope to be bringing a 4' snake hook with me and venturing into the dark reaches of the Everglades for Monster Pythons that can swallow 7' gators . Since one of our more favorite spots has cut us off at the knees, with new rules and regulations. I hope to be doing alot more exotic fish fishing and marine fishing. I can only hope that I come across one of Florida's new Monster Killer Size Pythons and we can go at it hands to coils, fingers to scales, that would make my 50th really one of the best. Or also a nice 8~11 pound LMB would also do it for me. But the hot spot where I used to bang out the big boys with a frogs is now off limits so I hope too try for Monster Pacu, Arowana and or Snakeheads in the great State of Florida. If anyone is there already and interested is some exotic action I'm up for it all, fishing, herping, marine fishing just drop me a PM and I'll make an effort to me up with you for whatever comes our way. This leaves only a few good spots I believe we now have only like 9~11 spots left. I hate loosing spots but love finding new ones. And since this time around I'll be going all out as I believe that this come April I will headed to Japan instead of Florida, and this time in Florida I'll be there for my 50Th B-Day I intend to do it BIG, if I can.

Try some pier fishing while your down there. You can catch all sorts of cool and taasty fish. I went to PCB in the summer and caught some bonito. You can catch tarpon, kingfish, cobia, maybe dolphin and tuna.

Fish landed-5

Did some lake hopping today in are tropical storm that been here for two days. Its been rainnig lightly but the wind is gusting 40 at times.

First stop of the day was "Colonial", it didnt take long for me to see there werent active, I stayed about 40 minutes without even a bite.

Second stop is what I call "Bakes basin", its really the D&R canal but its a pond(baisn) that the canal feeds. Right were you park is a bridge, I had to run down but nothing landed. So on my way to the basin I ,ake a couple cast in the canal and land a small 8"er. Soon as I get the basin its looking good as Hell! First cast BAM land a small 12"er out of the lillys!! I go on to land one more out of the basin before leaving.

Third and final spot is what I call "the stained lake of Plainsboro". I started out with the chatter bait and landed one with it. Seeing how CRISPY the water was I swithed up to the spinny!! I landed another little one with it, then missed one. As I was walking back towards the car I stopped by the bridge and cast where the shoreline on the other side meets the bridge(pic). A nice 3lb+ jumoed right on the spinny but got off about 10 feet from where I was standing, I screamed ****,****, BS man, I almost cried! :irked:!

Missed the monster of the day but I still had fun!!!

PS-Im loving the camara on the iphone 4, the zoom is pretty cool(last pic)

Fishing spots 3
time fished 9 hours
fish caught 45

We have been travelling a lot and i havent fished too much. last week i fished a SMALL stream in ohio with my 6 foot combo for 3-4 hours i caught millions of creek chub and two bluegill no bass but it was fun. i tried to noodle for a bass but i couldnt open its lip before it spooked from the hole it was interesting though.
Yesterday i fished the mississenewa (finally) best trip of my life.
I fished two hours.
The river was about 25 feet wide clear and shallow i fished along going down stream in 15 minutes a small smallie hit i was so excited even though it was only 11 inches long but i was happy since it was the first fish i had caught on my new fly combo fast forward a half an hour and i caught a 12 inch smallmouth.
a few minutes later i caught a 13 inch largemouth bass for the next hour or so i didnt catch anything until on the way back i hit a spot that i had missed it was the deepest water i had seen and there were lots of rocks i missed a bass the first cast but the second cast he hit, hard from there my rod was bent to an extreme angle for close to minute, smallmouths fight like crazy!!!
Another cast and another 13 inch bass hit he didnt fight as hard though. after that next cast a 10 inch crappie hit in the next few minutes i pulled in another smallmouth and a 12 inch crappie. The last fish i caught was a rock bass. I caught all of these on my new 8 weight fly rod using a crawdad imitation that i designed.
The next dauy i went farther up the river but in 3 hours i only caught two fish a 14 inch largemouth and a 12 inch smallmouth.
Now for the pics
