Fishing spots 3
time fished 9 hours
fish caught 45

We have been travelling a lot and i havent fished too much. last week i fished a SMALL stream in ohio with my 6 foot combo for 3-4 hours i caught millions of creek chub and two bluegill no bass but it was fun. i tried to noodle for a bass but i couldnt open its lip before it spooked from the hole it was interesting though.
Yesterday i fished the mississenewa (finally) best trip of my life.
I fished two hours.
The river was about 25 feet wide clear and shallow i fished along going down stream in 15 minutes a small smallie hit i was so excited even though it was only 11 inches long but i was happy since it was the first fish i had caught on my new fly combo fast forward a half an hour and i caught a 12 inch smallmouth.
a few minutes later i caught a 13 inch largemouth bass for the next hour or so i didnt catch anything until on the way back i hit a spot that i had missed it was the deepest water i had seen and there were lots of rocks i missed a bass the first cast but the second cast he hit, hard from there my rod was bent to an extreme angle for close to minute, smallmouths fight like crazy!!!
Another cast and another 13 inch bass hit he didnt fight as hard though. after that next cast a 10 inch crappie hit in the next few minutes i pulled in another smallmouth and a 12 inch crappie. The last fish i caught was a rock bass. I caught all of these on my new 8 weight fly rod using a crawdad imitation that i designed.
The next dauy i went farther up the river but in 3 hours i only caught two fish a 14 inch largemouth and a 12 inch smallmouth.
Now for the pics

WOW those are some Awsome photo's you getting. I take it that your fishing from within the lake right? Your using hip waders or full chest waders?

Wish I could do some fishing like that but the gator make ita bit difficult..... 3 more days and I'll be Fishing in Florida once again.

Fish landed-I-4/Dennis-1

Since we had a decent night fishing adventure the other day we decided to try it again. We got started at 8:45pm and man at 9:11 I hooked into something big on a 70"+ cast. I just keep telling Dennis this a decent fish and when she surfaced and got swung in the boat, we both was DAYYYYAAAAAM. I throught it was a 5 but it was only 4.12. After that we mainly fished only one piece of shorline due to the wind blowing like 15.At one point a school had to swim by cause I landed one then missed one and Dennis landed his first all in the matter of seconds. From there I landed two more decent 14"ers and we was out!

Got a monster today!!!!

Fish landed-7

Well after last nights adventure it was around 3 when we got back to my house. So we took it down for a few hours and this morning we were on "Farrington" lake at 9:15am. The bite was ok until around 1:30, at that point I had a five with one being a beast(2.14). I said we would leave at 3 but we stayed until 6. I landed 2 within the extended stay and Dennis couldnt buy a bite today!

Long day but I enjoyed it!!

Had a good night last night, caught 16 catfish off the pier in about 3 hours since we didnt have alot of time to take the boat out. 9 or 10 of them were over 4 lbs. the rain really got the fish biting.

Total Count for 2010: 775

Yellow Perch - 4
White Perch - 73
Yellow Bass - 1
Largemouth/Spotted - 14
Smallmouth - 6
Sunfish - 335
Crappie - 28
Bowfin - 7
Carp - 1
Bighead Asian Carp - 2
Freshwater Drum - 2
American Eel - 2
Goldfish - 1
Rockfish - 1
Blue Catfish - 4
Flathead Catfish - 7
Bullhead Catfish - 23
Channel Catfish - 264

the summer bluegill bite was amazing, and since nothing else was biting i targeted them, all of the bluegill i caught for bait were not counted, the 335 sunfish i caught were all caught on panfish lures like the BPS Squirts, they are loving the Yellow and Whitetailed ones. So no hating.

After all the rain and fall setting in my flathead catfish should be biting like crazy and my yellow perch will be here soon. My goal is 1000 before the end of the year, 225 left to go.

Fish landed-3

Was seatting around after dinner(striper-yummy) and asked Dennis did he want to go out night fishing. He said no cause of the storm that was coming so I said ok forget it but after he left I texted Cliff and he was down. I checked the radar and knew that it would drizzle alittle, I was more concerned about the wind(10-20). It didnt start rainning until we got there :irked:. We still launched and I landed the first about 30 minutes in. Since the wind had picked up I went in this cove that was blocked from the wind and just fanned cast the whole area. Doing that I landed the second at 10:33 and followed up with my third shortly after. Both fish came out in open water in about 3ft of water. I dont know if my battery is losing a cell or something or it died so quick cause we fought the wind the whole time but the trip was cut short so we could make it back to the boat ramp.

Two half hours in a mini strom and I landed three, It was worth it!!
