Sunnies put up a excellent fight, is probaly cause the shape of them. I seen a 2lb bluegill while on vacation in VA. The bait shop attendent said the guy who brought it in said it take like 5 minutes to get it in!!

I have never caught a bluegill only Green suns and spotted suns but heard blue gills and long ears are great fighters.

Think longears are the toughest again weight wise?

ever try handfishing for any type of fish? I tried it with bluegills, and if you dont give them line when they want or try to muscle them in they will cut you with the line. I also a caught a bass on hand line not as much fun, more cinematics than real fight

no spool really simple have out a length of line and terminal tackle.

I hand line fish for pike (tip-up) very fun. But the hardest fighting freshwater fish is the steelhead or "skamania" steelhead.

If it is anything like a rainbow trouts fight(i know same species) i would have to disagree.

Well Tamer there is two factors with ur opinion:

One-There is probaly a current where u are catching them, making the fight 3-4 times harder!!

TWO- Look at the size of them, now lets be unrealistic for a second and imagine catching a 20lb SMB. The fight would be mind blowing!!!

Honestly i think that king salmon fight harder then steelhead
