FISHING SEASON 2K10!!!!!!

Went fishing on Saturday with my 2 boys down to Santa Monica beach and caught 4 barred surf perch (no pics taken) and also caught my first Shovelnose guitar fish. Still a baby at about 24" but it was fun none the less since they pull pretty hard for there size. Can't wait till I catch it's big brother somewhere in the 4 foot range to really get a good work out.

went out in the pouring rain to try my luck and get out of the house. i couldnt catch anything and figured the perch had alrdy moved on past my fishing hole. Fooling around i found a dead bluegill floating on the water. i scooped it up, cut the head off and stuck in on for bait. An hour later the rain began to pick up and i decided to leave. Still having no bites, I began to reel my rods in when my catfish rod dips and grab it and set the hook. I was so excited to finally have a fish on. It takes me a minute or 2 to get him within grabbing range and bam. 27" 8lb 2oz Channel Catfish, a new peronal best channel. After a few pics she was released back to the mighty susquehanna to make more beautiful catfish.

nice catch bigger then my biggest channel (4-6 pounds) but the place where i fish channels 20 pounders are not rare so i keep my fingers crossed.

I went out on friday to see if I could find some walleye's in the big D No luck. the water was still very high at the spot i fished. It was almost over the top of my hip wader's. Normally you can walk out in sneeker's and not even get your socks wet. Im going to head out again wednesday. Hopfully Ill have some pics of a nice big female walleye.

Fished Sunday at Clove Lake in Staten Island. Fished about 3 hours, caught 2 Bullhead Catfish on breadballs. My friends caught 15 between them in 3 hours before I got there. Breadballs used. I also saw a foot long Carp.

thanks guys, my biggest cat last year was 7 and half lbs. It feels good to crush old numbers in the beginning of the season. We've seen dead ones that were easily over 20 lbs, and the dam about 3 miles upstream has had 40 +'s caught above it. I know theyre around just have to get lucky.
