Here are the pictures of the sump, as requested.

There are a couple things changing.

#1. The ASM is more than likely going to be replaced with an AquaC EV-400.

This is going to mean draining the sump, and removing it to fit the skimmer into it before replacing it.

This is okay however because all three of the baffles that were in the tank failed.

Everything is running well now, but I obviously need to fix those baffles anyways. The thing is still running as of now because I am terrified to do the work, and have been really overwhelmed recently.

Fish pictures...(picture? dang camera) are next. :D

My camera is being a pile...and it is super hard to get good close up pictures right now, this was the best I could do...obviously a lot of fish went un-photographed.

We have the angel, the clowns, and the marshall islands mystery wrasse photographed though.

This last thread pertains to the next project...which will hopefully be completed tomorrow morning.

Tearing down this 29g freshie, to make a QT for the rest of my stocking.

Since this tank is going to be densely (over) stocked, it is going to be extremely important to stock with care, and add things carefully as to avoid an outbreak.

QT is the answer to that.

Newest update...the sump has failed entirely except for the first chamber where the water enters the sump. Everything else is broken.

Considering trashing the idea for awhile, while I save money to build an acrylic one, it would be larger then as well (6'?)

Don't bail on it. Besides, if/when you get that EV you will definitely want that sump rocking so you can unleash that beast.

I am surprised you had problems, I looked at it and thought it would be fine. I do know that I used a ton of silicone when I did my baffles, but mine are taller than yours and that was my concern.

I can't oppose a bigger sump however.

A bigger one would be awesome...do you think we can get the EV400 in there without draining it?

I dont know.

I have come up with a couple ideas.

One is to buy acrylic cut to almost the exact size of the baffles, and then essentially put an oring around them. This would cause them to stick in place, and they would be adjustable baffles.

The other one is to let my sump run the way it is running now. I am having no micro bubbles, and...what aint broke dont need fixin. :D

Nice pickups Fleshy. Those clowns are sweet, hopefully mine darken up eventually and start looking similar to those.
