This usually happens with age...sometimes you will always be left with some orange.BradT85;4942738; said:Nice pickups Fleshy. Those clowns are sweet, hopefully mine darken up eventually and start looking similar to those.
I have, however there is very little room underneath my tank, and it is in the living room. The sump is also made out of a glass tank, and is running, which makes drilling interesting.dgk9723;4943981; said:Ever thought about using the ev external? I Love them. I plan on running one with its own plumbing.
I have been considering drilling my tank. Obviously mine is also setup and running, so it would need to be drained drilled refilled in a short period of time. I do know a couple of people with a good amount of experience drilling tanks. Putting a Calfo type overflow on my tank would make me so happy, so it might be worth the work(or I might just be crazy).FLESHY;4946062; said:This usually happens with age...sometimes you will always be left with some orange.
These clowns are young though, and small. The large one is probably a lil shy of 2". The small one is a little more than an inch.
Someday I expect them to be almost completely black and white. The nose might be a little dusky.

For now I will just have to try and squeeze it into my tank. I dont know how that is going to work yet haha.
Yes I would. They appear to make a quality fixture, and even though slightly more expensive than the aquatraders one, it also comes with a hanging kit.08trdoffroad;4952464; said:Hey Fleshy,
Now that you have used the MH fixtures from fishneedit.com for a while, what are your thoughts on them. Are they worth it? Would you purchase them again?

It is still running even though there is air at the top.
u can clean it out and see if that helps. maybe the pump isnt working properly.
Brand spanking new. Both of them. Took the pump apart to check for any debris...couldnt actually get into the part that does the business without doing some serious dissection, so I just blew through it, and then ran water through it...no issues. Diaphragm is still strong resists reverse flow...completely.
can u turn your return pump up for more flow? that might help also.
I could make the connection from pump to outflow more efficient, but the pump is wide open. Its supposed to be running almost 1200g at that head...and that is what the overflow is rated for.
