hi gus sorry about not getting back to this right away, ive been fighting water parameters and that means water changes, i must have burned through 12 bottles of dechlor and 2 big bottles of prime, but everything seems fine all the amonia is gone but im still having a problem with nitrites, and as far as the food bill, as of yet they dont really seem interested in the food, most have nibbled on some and the hybrids have not eaten much but the marbles are eating good now. the next best eaters at the moment are the nigers, they vacume up the pellets, the little red tail has not eaten at all yet, the water is staying very clear and there is no smell, but the nitrites still build up, we actually it is alot slower than before, im now down to 800 gallon water change every other day, instead of everyday, and today i got bit twice by bert the 27" giant gourami, i had my hand resting on the side of the dogbone tank while i was cleaning it, i was watching where i was cleaning and bert saw my fingertips sticking into the water and thought it was food and grabbed hold of my middle finger which made me let out a surprised yelp and scareds the bejesus out of my wife tracy, then she started laughing her ass off for quit a while, well about an hour later i was hanging the new lights up above the tank and he got me again, so i think i have learned to keep a watch for my fingertips now
